Client Services

Investment Planning

We understand that each client has different goals for their investments. Whether it is saving for a college education, retirement planning, current income needs, or simply investment capital appreciation, we can develop and implement a road map to success. On an ongoing basis, we monitor the progress of the plan, making the necessary adjustments as needed, and coordinating our work with the client’s attorney, tax accounting advisor, insurance provider and real estate advisor.

Internal Asset Management - Equities

At Murphy, Middleton, Hinkle & Parker, we believe that consistent long-term growth of capital is best achieved by investing in common stocks. The foundation of our company philosophy is based around our proprietary growth and value equity investment strategies. The stocks in the MMHP value and growth portfolios are intensively researched by our staff, and purchased at prices that we determine represent a significant discount to fair value. Stocks are sold when they are at or above our appraised value. The portfolios are diversified across different sectors of the economy in order to minimize volatility.

Internal Asset Management – Fixed Income

Fixed income investments are a key component to any investment plan with income needs. Our managers customize the bond portion of each client’s portfolio to match their current and future income needs. By investing with quality issuers we are also able to minimize short term price volatility.

Outside Manager Selection

Whether a client requires objective advice in the selection and monitoring of outside money managers, or just needs additional diversification in conjunction with the MMHP equity and fixed income management, we can help. Our research committee monitors other investment managers with strategies that are outside our internal U.S. based growth and value expertise. Specialties include but are not limited to international and emerging markets, small cap stocks, and alternative assets. Outside managers are utilized in order to complete a proper asset allocation plan.
